Reflection on Day of the Dead Make-up
Sugar Skull
This week was Halloween week, so we were given the opportunity to be creative and design a sugar skull with our tools and products. I researched online and on pinterest for inspirations on what I was going to create on my model, there were a lot of inspirations and different takes on this look.
It is a massive festival over Halloween which is huge and originates from Mexico, I love the patterns and products and different designs I was seeing when researched.
I had done nothing like this before, so it was fun to experiment with my products and brushes to create my own similar design influenced by designs and creating this on my model. I was fairly confident, as I my favourite time of year is Halloween and I wanted to be creative; However, I struggled with the fine lines and details as I did not have a suitable brush.
That was a major dilemma, however I gave it a good shot with what I had and this made me realise to invest in a small paint brush!
Some inspirations I got by researching into the famous festival of the 'Day of the Dead'
I loved these designs and the colours work so well and the detail is beautiful.
