I found these photographs going through his books, as I am very drawn to his photography and the way his images are so bold and strong and also really make a point. These ones I believe show and reflect wealth, the first image there's a woman standing on a crown, which is reflected with wealth and royalty, I love how David has made the crown excessively big to really emphasise and dramatize the feel of the photograph. In the background you can see the mansion, which reflects wealth as only rich people can afford such luxury homes and I love how you can see this in the background to enhance the fact of her wealth. Also the way she is holding herself with confidence and elegance, with her long gown and groomed self all reflects and shows wealth and power.
Also referenced to David La Chapelles work, I found a few good photographs by himself that reflect wealth and power. In this photograph it reminds me of an Elizabethan princess/ queen, with her pale complexion and frizzed hair style but all done in a modern way with the use of Elaborate colours throughout the photograph. She is sitting in her long embellished, ombre, glitzy ball gown on a gold queen like throne, showing power and wealth with the way she is holding herself. She also looks very self endured and memorised with herself so this photo I believe it shows self righteous in a way and arrogrance. But I love the photo, with the use of colours, textures and patterns and how it reflects wealth, it is a strong powerful photo.
I love these images, the image above shows a lady wearing next to nothing looking very proud of herself wit her Oscar, with people taking pictures of her. This I feel reflects her wealth and power, as only powerful, wealthy people get Oscars. With the way people are looking in her direction, in the public eye, with her standing proud in the star light reflects her status as a wealthy power woman.
I love this animal like pose Elton John is doing on is animal printed piano, he looks mad but in a good way, he has china looking leopards around him, standing powerful and wealthy. This photo intrigues me and I love the boldness of the colours, red and golds, he is wearing a nice suit which also reflects his wealth along with the china animals and his piano.
This image above reflects wealth and power in a lazy bored, casual way, some of her trophy's are knocked over like she doesn't care because she's got so many. She looks relaxed and a bit fed up of her fame and fortune. This photo really reflects status and wealth in a greedy way.
Another David La Chapelle image, because I love his work so much. This image also shows reflection of Elizabethan style with the frizzy hair the glitzy corset, the red gown and pale complexion. She is sitting on a massive fake pig with her arms open, her face looking up with pride and her whip. I feel this photo reflects wealth, pride and a modern take on Elizabethan style. I love the weirdness and the way David La Chapelle works.
